Note
This is the most Arcade like (before the SS/PS version), most advanced and possibly the best home version of GRADIUS II. The PCE version is even better than the original AC version in some ways. The plane is slim, the background music is cool (play CD directly), and it includes an additional/special stage which didn't appeared in the AC version. It is the 6th stage (after the Moai stage) which is called Deprived Sanctity. (^^)
The original level of this game is not very difficult, actually very interesting to play. But with the Professional game level, the last stage become almost impossible to play by human... and this is possibly the most difficult version of GRADIUS II.
