Note

This is the most Arcade like home version of GRADIUS II, actually this version should has over 99.9% as close as the original AC version. For those of you GRADIUS II fans, just don't miss it!

Though Gradius Deluxe Pack is available for both the Saturn and Playstation system, I prefer to play this game on Saturn. This is because the loading time is faster in Saturn. Actually you will experience loading (wait) after the end of each stage in the PS version, but this will not happen in the SS version. Besides, and the most important thing is, the control in Saturn is much better. I'm saying the Sega City's Power Control System - the original Arcade joystick. (^^)

I said this game is 99.9% close to the original Arcade version becuase they have differences, at least I can found out. (^^!) Actually there are only very small differences which people will not be awared normally. One difference is the sound effect, in which the AC version feels a little bit better. This is especially clear in stage 2, the destruction sound of the alien eggs near the end of the stage.

GRADIUS II is my most favorite Gradius title. I always enjoy playing this game. I have successed in this version (because AC has no pause) the ultimate target - unlimited score. In 2000/05/04 - 2000/05/06, I played this game continously for 3 days and finally obtained the score of 52413000 in the last stage of the 75th loop. I decided to stop playng at the 74th loop, because I afraid the Saturn will burn out if operating for too long. In the meantime of this credit, I paused the game and took little time (because I afraid the Saturn will burn out if holding for too long) to sleep and eating etc. This is a real tough battle to me. But after this, I get the highest record ever make in the history of Gradius (as far as I know).
